What exactly is law?
It is a set of rules created and enforced to regulate the behavior of our society. Law exists as a guideline of acceptable and unacceptable actions and behaviors. Without the law, the world will become an uncontrollable place filled with crime.

A typical Bachelor of Law in Malaysia takes 3 to 4 years, depending on whether you’re including a professional year, in which the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) exam is included in the curriculum.

The CLP is required for you to qualify for chambering in Malaysia, or a nine-month practical training under the guidance of a senior lawyer.
Once you complete your chambering, you’re a full-fledged lawyer ready to bring justice!
1) You’re a logical thinker
Rationale and consistency are your best friends. In court, you’re expected to present consistent, accurate, and credible facts and evidence if you want to win your case. Besides, if you’re known among your friends as the one who keeps their emotions under control, you’re pretty much made for the job – rational thinking can save your case and client!
2) You excel in oral communication
To study law in Malaysia, language and speaking skills can make or break your success. You must be a fluent speaker to communicate with your clients and to deliver a persuasive message clearly and concisely. The last thing you’d want to happen is the judge misunderstanding your point!
3) You’re a good researcher
Science is not the only industry that needs research! Learning law in Malaysia requires you to dig into past cases, research legal concepts, and prepare your facts to be presented in the court. You must also be able to break down complex information efficiently and effectively.

You don’t have to decide now, but it is always good practice to start reading about them to gain a better understanding. This way, you will be clear with your directions and goals when you study law in Malaysia. Some areas that you can look into are:
